LayerZero is an omnichain interoperability protocol which provides a low level communication primitive upon which a diverse set of cross-chain applications can be built. To ensure interoperability, they use an Oracle(Chain-link) and Relayer to send and validate transactions across chain. Each chain in the Layer Zero network has one Layer Zero Endpoint implemented as a series of chain smart contracts. The protocol does not use bridges or wrapped tokens and exchanges between the native chain assets which can help in building cross chain DEXs.
