NounsDAO (82%) – PFP

NounsDAO is a generative PFP art project featuring daily auctions of pixelated NFTs portraying different nouns. Football fans may recognize those glasses from their appearance in a Bud Light Super Bowl ad. Each day NounsDAO auctions off a new Noun NFT. The NFTs give holders entry into the NounsDAO.
100% of all auction proceeds go into the DAO treasury, at the time of writing the treasury holds over 19,513 ETH ($63 million). Each Noun held represents one vote in DAO proposals. To date, 203 Nouns have been minted.

Team:
The 10-person team affectionately refers to themselves as “Nounders” and features big names in the NFT space including supergremplin and cryptoseneca.
Utility:
Each Nouns NFT will give one vote to the NounsDAO, which seeks to build out the Nouns protocol in a “virtuous cycle.”

NounsDAO has 14,000 in its Discord channel and 40,000 on Twitter.
Additionally, a majority of the protocol’s team has over 10,000 Twitter followers.

Pixelmon (81%) – Gaming

Pixelmon is an Open World RPG NFT. The lore is inspired by Nintendo’s Pokémon video game series. Pixelmon trainers can train, trade, fight, and evolve their Pixelmon characters in the virtual world of Eden.
The Generation 1 Pixelmon are playable genesis collectibles that are only available on OpenSea and cannot be caught in-game. The style of the game has a blocky-feel, similar to Microsoft’s Minecraft. The game is not released; however, users may play a two-minute demo. The team plans to release an alpha version of the game by the end of Q2 2022, and finish development in Q3. Besides the current genesis mint, Pixelmon plans to have an upcoming sale of plots of virtual land and develop PIXEL tokens for in-game use.

Team:
The founding team of Pixelmon is anonymous. The main founder, Syber, claims to have doxxed themself to NFT influencer NFTLlama, and plans to doxx themself to several other influences in order to be held accountable for the game. The development team, Magic Media, is an international gaming and entertainment group that has worked with Activision, Blizzard, Disney, and Ubisoft.
Utility:
Besides being characters in the Pixelmon game, Generation 1 Pixelmon NFTs give holders exclusive access to reserve Pixelmon land before the public, access to the Alpha launch of the game, various in-game items and events, and access to the presale of the token.

Pixelmon has almost 200k followers on Twitter and nearly 36k members on Discord.

SupDucks (78%) – PFP

SupDucks is a collection of 10,000 ducks designed by artist Frankynines.
Franky has previous experience at Zynga and Dapper labs. Since minting in July, the team has accomplished a lot. They launched an iOS app beta exclusively for SupDucks holders, launched the $VOLT token, did three merch drops, added frog and toad NFTs, and more. In the future, the team hopes to launch a DAO, launch an animated series, and add fractional NFT ownership.

Team:
SupDucks was created by artist Frankynines and MegaVoltCorp. The project’s lead developer was formerly with Gala Games.
Utility:
SupDuck owners will be able to claim 10 $VOLT tokens per duck they hold each day. $VOLT is the utility token used to buy collectibles, breed toads, and tip people in the SupDucks Discord channel. $VOLT powers the SupDucks ecosystem. Additionally, holders get access to the SupDucks mobile app beta and the potential capability to use duck in the Sandbox.

Metroverse (76%) – Gaming

Metroverse is a play-to-earn land trading strategy game with game mechanics based on SimCity. 10,000 city block NFTs were minted for .1 ETH in
January. Blocks have four zones; residential, commercial, industrial, and public. Each block is given an individual score for the three former zones, and public zoning serves as a boost to other zone scores. Zone score is derived from the buildings within a zone, with each building having a predetermined score. City blocks can be staked and rewarded in proportion to their total score with the MET token. 93% of city blocks are staked at this time.

Team:
The Metroverse team is anonymous however their descriptions reveal extensive crypto, NFT, and ML/AI development experience. A designer on the team has worked with brands such as BMW, Coca-Cola, and Mercedes-Benz.
Utility:
City block holders earn the MET utility token by staking their blocks. MET is used to serve in-game utility. 25,000 MET are required to mint the blackout collection NFTs from Metroverse.
Social Media Metrics:
Metroverse has over 71,000 in their Discord channel, and the project has nearly 110,000 on Twitter while following no other accounts.

Imaginary Ones – PFP

Imaginary Ones is a 3D art project built on Ethereum. The project aims at spreading positivity through its values, “Good Vibes Only,” “Dream Together,” and “Smile Like a Child.” It is creatIed by a renowned artist based in Singapore. The NFTs are 3D, high-quality bubble cartoon characters in the form of a GIF. Similar to the NFT project, Invisible Friends, Imaginary Ones is one of the largest and fastest-growing pre-mint projects of this year.
Team:
Imaginary Ones is created by Clement Chia, a renowned artist based in Singapore. He is also the co-founder of offset.sg and offeo.com, two digital media companies that have worked for Nike, Apple, Samsung, Heineken, Spotify, and L’oreal. He is joined by four team members who also work at OFFSET and OFFEO.
Utility:
The website shows three phases, Phase 1 which is the first drop, Phase 2 which is a second drop and brand collaborations, and Phase 3 which is Metaverse-related. However, there is no concrete information on the utility of this project besides its aesthetic appeal.

WGMI Interfaces – PFP

Web Generated Modular Interfaces is a collection of 10,000 randomly generated PFPPP’s (profile picture passion project). The project claims to have “no roadmaps or promises, just vibes.” The team wants to focus on the artwork, brand, and community, and not create any expectations by committing to a roadmap. The Interfaces NFT traits are inspired by internet culture, giving a nod to the hardware, tools, apps, and software designers use in their everyday lives.
Team:
The team consists of Anna Kajda, a 3D illustrator at Pitch.com, BestServedBold, a freelance 3D artist, and Arek Kajda, a 3D designer/illustrator.
Utility:
There is no information on the utility of this project besides its aesthetic appeal as a passion art project.

WGMI Interfaces’s Twitter page has about 204k followers and it does not have a discord.

Aku Chapter X: The Finale – Art

Micah Johnson, professional baseball player turned digital artist, is responsible for creating one of the most anticipated NFT drops of this year. Each NFT is one chapter in the animated journey of Aku, an explorer wearing an astronaut helmet. The first chapter in the series was released exactly one year before the mint of the final chapter on February 21st, 2021. Minting will take place on Nifty Gateway for a price of $999. The mint will be open for five minutes with as many collectors as possible being able to claim a chapter X in that window.
Team:
The project was designed by former MLB baseball player, Micah Johnson.
Utility:
Holders of the original Aku chapters will have access to Akutars, a collection of 15,000 3D metaverse-compatible avatars.
Social Media Metrics:
The community is small, but tight-knight around the message of proving anything is possible. The Aku Discord contains 3,000 members and their Twitter has 10,000 followers.
