World of Women (WoW) is a women-centric NFT project celebrating inclusivity, representation, and equal opportunity for women. Started by an all-female team with the mission of creating a more inclusive NFT community, WoW is making good on this mission by donating to female artists and women-focused charities through their WoW Foundation and WoWFund.
The project donated 15% of its mint revenue to crypto art and 7.5% to three charities: She’s The First, Too Young to Wed, and Strange Cintia. Following the mint, the WoW Foundation has donated to the Rockflow Fund, Code to Inspire, and recently donated 10 ETH to aid women in Ukraine.
The World of Women NFT collection features 10,000 randomly generated profile pictures of women released on July 27, 2021, and designed by Yam Karkai. Each NFT owned gives holders one vote on proposals in the World of Women DAO and access to a super high resolution 4000×4000 version of the image allowing owners to print the art themselves.
Additionally, WoW holders own the intellectual property and the underlying artwork of the NFT. IP ownership enables World of Women owners to create side projects based on the World of Women NFTs.
World of Women has cemented itself as a blue-chip project in the NFT space. With the present floor price over 13 ETH and a trading volume of nearly 60K ETH, the genesis WoW collection may be out of reach for many investors looking to support inclusivity through NFTs. If this is you, then there’s hope with the World of Women Galaxy collection!
WoWG
The World of Women Galaxy (WoWG) collection is the first expansion of the WoW universe. Little is known about WoWG to this point, but we do know the project will feature more futuristic and sci-fi themed artwork.
The mint date and mint price have yet to be announced but based on the mint price of the genesis collection (0.07 ETH), we can assume the WoWG mint price won’t be unreasonable. 10,000 WoWG NFTs will exist for current WoW holders; the number of WoWGs available to the public and allowlist is TBA.
WoWG holders will be invited to something known as the WoW Gala, contribute to the DAWoW (WoW DAO), and own the IP and artwork of their NFT. Inspection of the WoWG website leads to speculation that holders will receive future airdrops, 3D avatars, and more.
The WoW team has decided that 10% of all primary sales of WoW Galaxy will go to the WoW Foundation. World of Women has delivered on its promise of creating a more inclusive and generous web3 community, and they are using WoWG as a way to expand it.
